Trediberri

About the producer

A relatively new winery, the Trediberri cantina of La Morra was established in 2012. It all began when three Piedmontese - Nicola Oberto, his father Federico and their associate Vladimiro Rambaldi - bought 5ha of vineyards in Berri, a hamlet of La Morra. Nicola's father, Federico, had spent 40 years working for a local, large Barolo producer. He now helps Nicola in the winery alongside his wife, Anna Rosa Oberto, who tends fastidiously to the vines.
  • Organic
In addition to the 5ha, the Oberto family have 2ha in one of the Langhe’s top vineyards - Rocche dell’Annunziata - located in the very heart of the region. Guided by Anna Rosa, they follow a low impact, organic approach to viticulture, while the wines are made traditionally with extended macerations and aged in large oak botti. Trediberri also farm grapes from 2ha of rented vines nearby Cappalotti vineyard.
The organic certification process began in 2012 and was achieved in 2015.

Vineyard

Certified organic since 2015, they farm 10ha of vines, with four different soil structures. Berri - close to the river with pebbles, limestone and some sandstone; Capalot - old vines soil over sandstone rock together with sedimentary marl; Torriglione - very steep compact blue marl; Rocche dell'Annunziata with calcareous blue marl, silty, sand and clay.

Winery

Wines are made traditionally with extended macerations and aged in large oak botti. Fermented in cement, but wood and stainless steel are used depending on the vintage.
