La Màgia

About the producer

Owned by the Schwarz family for over 40 years, La Màgia is now run by third-generation Fabian since 2011. Fabian, who took over from his father Harald, studied at the Istituto Agrario San Michele all’Adige, the most prestigious oenology school in Italy. The terrain is mostly stony but with sufficient lime and clay to retain water in the subsoil, guaranteeing nutrients even during prolonged periods of drought. The crowning glory of La Màgia is the 40-year-old vineyard, covering 15ha in a single block and planted entirely with Sangiovese grapes – exclusively registered as Brunello.
This unique parcel of land dominates the valley at a height of 400 to 450 metres and faces south-east. They have Bio/Organic certification as a result of 40 years of commitment and professional expertise, always showing respect for the integrity of their terroir. The benefits of this approach are evident in the range of exceptional wines and their complex layers of flavour.
